Ready – Set – Go!

As I was watching a video, something on the inside caught my attention and I was asked to turn off the video and listen. Earlier that day I had heard a phrase that didn’t make much sense to me, and now I heard it again: “The seats of Bethel have been set. The church is maintained”.

I had found out that “Bethel” means “house of God”, and is a place located about 10 miles north of Jerusalem. It was named by Jacob after his dream about a ladder to heaven from that place, with God standing at the top of the ladder. So Bethel seems to symbolize a very close connection to God.

There were more than one seat, so it was obviously not the seat of God. I pondered and thought whoever is seated in Bethel, will communicate effortlessly with God. Therefore I believe it is the seats within us that are set, put in the right position, prepared for and ordained, so that every true believer (the church) will be in close dialogue with Him and thus the church will be maintained, kept safe, in the proper state and fully operating.

And who will be sitting in those seats, within us, to allow effortless communication with God? I guess that would be the Christ presence in us, the mediator between man and God, allowing a personal relationship.

Then I heard “Look I bring a lion that walks with boldness among women, and in the river of life and along my golden streets”. I believe this indicates the importance of women in the final days. The daugthers of Eve, that once fell, have matured and will rise above darkness and conquer the serpent. These women have left the mundane behind and walk boldly with Christ, the lion, on the inside, following the flow of the living spirit, they walk in His will and on His path to do His work.

Then I heard “But this lion is to be beheaded” and I thought that this had to be wrong. This could not be from God, I was clearly being deceived in some way or my imagination had gone wild by the recent events in Iraq. But the words continued with the same mild, calmness as before “You see, there is something special that happens when someone is beheaded. For the head is being separated from the body, just like the body of Christ is now separate from Christ”.

“The body is scattered all over the earth, and the head is set on high, but all of the parts will be gathered and find their place”. It made perfect sense and tied it all together and I admitted to myself that it probably wasn’t my imagination after all. In fact it is the surprising, unpredictable elements, that I don’t understand right away, that help verify that the message is bigger than me.

I saw the lion being restored, every part fitting perfectly into it’s mold, every single spot being dedicated to a specific soul. And I understood that in these days the body of Christ is positioned and set, and very soon we will see the first moves and works of the body, not the individuals but the shared body, as it’s members will connect and their skills and purposes will be put in the right context and finally make sense, bearing wonderful fruits for the age to come.

All of God’s children play an important role, with a designated purpose and funtion for a collective goal, in the body of Christ that contains us all. So you are needed, for a body cannot fully function without all of it’s parts. Therefore I encourage you to take a moment and ask God to reveal your part, your position and function in the body.

And may we move with the wisdom of women, that have embraced the concept of inclusive team work, acknowledging the importance of every member, seeking inner guidance and follow the subtle directions of our Creator instead of the loud noise from the world.

We are a phenomenal team, seated with God and led by His Son. So closely woven together that through the head, Christ, one part of the body will be coordinated to work perfectly with the others, allowing us to perform His works as one united and ignited being operating in the spirit.

Ephesians 4:15-16 “…grow up in all things into Him who is the head – Christ – from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love”.
